There’s something about the way a message is framed that determines not just what the audience sees, but what it is allowed to unsee. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now- how language, especially when dressed in the robes of revelation, can be less about communicating truth and more about rearranging it…like a still life. Composed. Curated. Controlled.
“Framed Prophecies” is an immersive worldbuilding project reimagining how each truth is reborn in its telling. In an age where perception often outweighs reality, modern-day ‘prophets’ frame narratives not to illuminate, but to persuade, control and convert.
My project examines how language, imagery and selective truth-telling are weaponized to shift public belief, distort critical thought, and reshape collective memory.
By deconstructing these framed messages, the power structures behind them are being uncovered.
When prophecy is manufactured, who benefits from the belief?
